Dr. Elizabeth Crowe is a faculty member in the College of Education at the Florida State University Panama City Campus. Elizabeth began her service to FSU in 2009 as an Assistant in Research with the Florida Center for Reading Research in Tallahassee. Her areas of concentration include language and literacy skills of elementary students, students with reading difficulties, and instructional strategies for language and literacy comprehension.

Following 6 years of service in research, Elizabeth accepted a position at FSU Panama City and now serves as the Program Director for Elementary Education on the Panama City Campus and Area Coordinator for Social Work, Interdisciplinary Social Sciences, and Psychology.

Elizabeth currently serves as a member of the STEM Institute at FSU Panama City with a mission to provide opportunities for K-12 students and rural districts alongside teaching and mentorship opportunities for preservice and practicing teachers.

Prior to graduate work, Elizabeth taught in the K-6 school system and later served as a K-8 principal.
Elizabeth is a graduate of Florida State University with degrees in Elementary Education (B.S.), and Reading Education (M.S., Ph.D.). Elizabeth was a Predoctoral Interdisciplinary Research Training Fellow with the Florida Center for Reading Research, Learning Systems Institute at FSU where she received training in statistics, economics, leadership, education, and other interdisciplinary fields related to reading research.
